Biography[edit | edit source]

Backstory[edit | edit source]

Amelia Cartwright was born in about 1896 in Cartwright Street, Weatherfield, Lancashire. She was the daughter of Bernard Cartwright. Her dad was a murderer who killed her mother Alice Cartwright when Amelia was a baby. Cartwright Street was later renamed Victoria Street, to try and rid the memories of the murder.

In the 1930s Amelia met William Elliott and they married. They had a son Frederick Handel Elliott in 1938 and Beryl Elliott.

Amelia died before 1994, when Fred first arrived in Coronation Street.
