Asha Alahan is the daughter of Dev Alahan and the late Sunita Alahan, and the twin sister of Aadi Alahan.
Biography[]
2006[]
Asha and Aadi were born to Sunita Alahan and Dev Alahan in January 2006. When Sunita split up with Dev following their birth after finding out he had fathered numerous children beforehand, the twins went to stay with her at 7 Meadow View, Bramhall.
2009-[]
In 2009 Sunita entered into a relationship with Matt Davis, a golfing buddy of Dev's. Dev was unaware of the relationship until December 2009 when he spotted Matt taking the twins out. Dev didn't approve of another man being in the same household as the twins, and was angry when he discovered Matt was going to give the twins a bath when he looked after them for Sunita. The twins were happy to have their father back in their lives and in January 2010 he threw them a birthday party. Dev temporarily moved back in with the family to trick Sunita's aunts into thinking they were still together. When it became apparent Sunita still loved Dev they reconciled their relationship and moved with the twins into Number 7 Coronation Street to become a proper family.
Asha and Aadi lost their mother in February 2013 when she died after a fire at The Rovers Return, Coronation Street. In actuality she was killed by her ex-boyfriend Karl Munro in her hospital bed, as he was responsible for the arson and attempted to cover up his crime. The twins were looked after by Dev, who was still trying to get a hold of himself after Sunita's demise. Months following Sunita's death Karl was exposed as the killer and sent to prison. The twins later got Mary Taylor as a nanny and she took care of them and became close.

- Upon the twins return in 2009 their age was retconned by a year, as in 2015 they celebrated their tenth birthday despite being born in 2006, and in 2021 they turned 16 even though they should be 15.
