Craig Tinker.

Craig Bartholomew Tinker is a character in Coronation Street and the son of Beth Tinker and her estranged husband Darryl Parkins. Craig is played by Colson Smith.

Backstory

Craig Bartholomew Tinker was born on the 2nd September 1998 to Darryl Parkins and Beth Parkins. When Beth split from Darryl, she went back to her maiden name of Tinker, and Craig took her surname. Beth never divorced Darryl.

2011

Craig came along with his mother Beth when she accepted to go on a date with Steve McDonald, who she hadn't seen in ten years since they had a one-off date back then. They met Steve at Nick's Bistro, Coronation Street, and Steve was surprised by how much Beth had changed from the model he knew a decade prior, and the fact she had a son. Craig didn't communicate during the evening, opting to drink juice from a straw whilst creepily staring at Steve. After Beth had a row with Steve's ex-wife Becky McDonald, Beth, Craig and Steve were thrown out of the Bistro.

2012-

Craig Tinker.

Craig was a typical teen and one time he accidentally stubbed a cigarette out near The Rovers. Karl Munro strated a fire there and tried to frame Craig.

In 2016 Craig decided to join the police force, firstly as a special. Craig became friends with Bethany Platt. Craig set up Sgt Neil Clifton for a fall when it was revealed that Neil had been part of Nathan Curtis' sex ring, and had threatened Craig when Craig found out. Craig and Bethany became a couple but he found out she was a lap dancer. Craig became obsessed with her welfare. Customers at the club reported Craig for loitering outside the club when off police duty. Craig's mentor yet again covered for Craig but lambasted him. In the flat, Craig waited until 140pm then started clicking the knobs on the cooker, tapping the knives and touching the iron when it was cold. Liam Connor caught him and Craig said he has to do this stuff or Bethany may get hurt. This indicated that Craig has OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder).

Behind the Scenes

• Like his mother Beth, Craig was only intended to be in the show for two episodes in August 2011, but when Lisa George (Beth's actress) impressed bosses, she along with Craig were brought back on a permanent basis, with Beth returning at the end of December 2011 and Craig returning in February 2012.
