Story

Brendan Scott is running himself ragged running the Corner Shop. He tells a story about how people always threatened strikes when he was once a boss years ago. In Ullswater in The Lake District, Joe Broughton tells Sally Webster than he loves her. She is coy around him, even more so when her husband Kevin Webster is around. Brendan races around on his bike doing deliveries. He seems a bit flustered and Emily Bishop offers to make him a sandwich before his next round. In the Lakes, Sally wants to go back to Weatherfield. Kevin manages to convince her to stay in the Lakes. Brendan comes back from another delivery, and gives Nicky Platt a pound. Brendan collapses. Martin Platt is called, and he performs CPR until the ambulance arrives. He tells them he has tried CPR for 10 minutes but not had a peep from Brendan. Brendan is pronounced dead. His body is taken away on a stretcher. Emily shuts up shop and switches the light off.
