Hannah Gilmore is the much younger girlfriend of Jim McDonald. Her and Jim hatched a plan to fleece Jim's ex wife Liz McDonald. This involved Hannah posing as Jim and Liz's long dead daughter Katie McDonald. This is achieved by saying there was a mix up at the hospital. Hannah even put make up on her right cheek to say it was Katie's birth mark. Hannah faked a DNA test. In October 2018, Liz caught Hannah and Jim snogging, and the truth was revealed that she was pretending to be Liz's dead daughter, and that Jim was in on the act. They left together in Ep 9584/9585 (12 Oct 2018). Hannah was played by Hannah Ellis Smith.

Hannah Gilmore was born in about 1992 in Australia.
Hannah later met Jim McDonald, who was 35 years her senior. Jim had a plan to fleece his ex wife Liz out of money. Jim and Hannah hatched a plan to pretend that Hannah was Katie McDonald, who had died the day she was born on the 1st January 1992, and that there had been a mix up at the hospital.
2018[]
In September 2018, Jim and Hannah but their plan in action, to con Liz out of money. Hannah paraded as Katie McDonald. Jim and Hannah told Liz that she was actually Katie McDonald, and that there had been a mix up at the hospital in January 1992, and the baby who died was the daughter of a Gilmore family. Liz refused to believe this but she then saw "Katie" had a birthmark under her left ear. Jim said the mannerisms are the same as Liz. A gullible Liz fell for the scam hook line and sinker. When Jim and Hannah were alone, she wiped the birthmark makeup off from under her ear. Hannah even organised a fake DNA test to welcome herself to the McDonald family. Steve McDonald was pleased that his sister was alive, or so he thought. Steve's twin brother Andy McDonald may also have been informed. Jim was getting closer to Liz again and this worried Hannah. Hannah even considered killing Liz. She was worried that Jim would go back to Liz, so when Liz was at their hotel room, she purposely kissed Jim so that Liz could see when she came out of the bathroom.
Liz was horrified that Jim could be snogging his own daughter, so Hannah told her that she is Hannah Gilmore, and that she is pretending to be Katie.
