Corrie career (1974-)
Helen Worth was originally brought into the show on a short term basis, as Gail was introduced as a friend to Kathy Jones' character Tricia Hopkins. Worth appeared for ten episodes from July to November 1974, and returned as a regular cast member in February 1975, and has continued in the role ever since.
In 2014 a tribute show was made for Gail to celebrate 40 years of the character.
