Linus Roache as Lawrence Cunningham.

Linus Roache is an English actor who has had several roles in Coronation Street. He is the son of veteran Corrie actor William Roache who plays Ken Barlow.

He portrayed Peter Barlow for three guest stints in the 1970s, and then guest appearance as Ken Barlow's long lost son Lawrence Cunningham for a few episodes in September 2010.

Coronation Street (1973-1975)[]

Linus' first known television role was as Peter Barlow, his father's on-screen son on Coronation Street. Linus appeared on the role on and off from 1973 to 1975. He began to appear in other small roles in his younger years, and made his first film appearance in 1985 in No Surrender.

Acting career after Corrie appearance (1975-2010)[]

In 2005 he appeared in the role of Thomas Wayne - the father of Bruce Wayne/ Batman - in Batman Begins.

From 2008 to 2010 Linus appeared in the regular role as Executive ADA Michael Cutter in Law & Order, appearing in 63 episodes. He would later reprise this role for four episodes from 2011 to 2012 in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Coronation Street brief return (2010)[]

In 2010, it was revealed that Linus and his younger brother James would appear for a guest stint on Coronation Street as the long lost family members of Ken Barlow, which was to celebrate the 50th anniversary. In September 2010 Linus appeared as Lawrence Cunningham, the illegitimate son of Ken who was conceived by Ken's original girlfriend Susan Cunningham, a character who appeared in the early episodes of the show. James portrayed Lawrence's son James Cunningham. Linus didn't make any further appearances as the character following his brief stint.

In character as Lawrence, Linus also shared a scene with Peter Barlow (now played by Chris Gascoyne), a character he formerly played.

After Corrie (2010-)[]

In 2012 he appeared in the miniseries Titanic as Hugh, Earl of Manton.
