Mr Liston was a top surgeon at Weatherfield General Hospital. In Ep 1773 - 11 Jan 1978, he operated on Ernie Bishop after he was shot in the chest by 2 robbers. Liston tried to remove the bullet but Ernie died during the operation. Liston had to break the news to Emily that in the end, there was nothing they could do. Liston was played by Geoffrey Beevers.
