Ruby Dobbs (previously Soames) is the daughter of Tyrone Dobbs and the unhinged Kirsty Soames. In early 2018, it was originally thought that she was terrorising her step sister Hope Stape. However, when Fiz caught Hope trying to push Joseph Brown down the stairs, it became clear that Ruby was innocent and Hope was the one responsible.
