The Dog And Gun.

The Ecclestone Estate is a council estate in Weatherfield. It is at the other end of Weatherfield to Coronation Street. The estate is quite a troublesome estate as many drug dealers and criminals live on the estate. It is the former home of Gemma Winter and Kylie Platt. The residents of this estate like to stir up trouble for a Mr David Platt of Coronation Street due to his rivalry with long dead crime boss Callum Logan who was killed by Kylie, who was then David's wife.

History[]

The Ecclestone Estate was a  post war development after the slum clearances of Salford and Manchester. It homed many working class families. A pub, The Dog And Gun, was built for the locals. By the 1980s, the Logan, Turner, Hibbs and Winter family lived on the estate. It seems Coronation Street residents Elsie Tanner and Bill Gregory knew the estate, as in January 1984, they had a drink at The Dog And Gun.

The estate did have a mix of working class and more middle class residents but also had a reputation for crime and anti social behaviour. Kylie Turner, a local resident was 19 in 2006 when she had a son Max Turner by drug dealer Callum Logan. Kylie and her older half sister Becky Granger later left the estate and Kylie married David Platt and he became Max's stepfather. This lead to a huge future chain of events for the Platts.
