The Orinoco Club premises in 1977, 10 years after last usage.
The Orinoco Club was a club in Viaduct Street and was housed in the arch of the viaduct right opposite the side of Corner Shop, Coronation Street. The club once was where Rita Littlewood danced in the 1960s and which Dennis Tanner worked at.

1960-1967[]
The Orinoco Club was a hive of activity and a strong meeting place for the residents of Coronation Street and surrounding streets. Rita Littlewood worked there by 1963. Dennis Tanner worked at the club and met Rita there.
The club closed in 1967. The glass panels, doors and bricks which formed the front, which bricked in the arch became derelict over the years. Later on the arch has been used as storage.
