Unknown Man (Name never revealed) was an unseen character in Coronation Street and the father of Rob Donovan.
Biography[]
In 1976 or 1977, Sharon Donovan, by then in her early 20s and a single mother to Carla Donovan, had a relationship with a man and she became pregnant with his baby. In 1977 Sharon had a son Robert Darren Donovan. Sharon was a drug dealer and bought her 2 children up single handed, making money of benefits and drug deals.

- Very little is known about Rob's father. All we know is that 3 years earlier, Sharon Donovan had a fling with her married neighbour Johnny Connor and they had a daughter Carla in January 1975. After that, Sharon met another man in about 1976 and had a son by this unknown and unidentified man. Sharon then split up with him during her pregnancy or after Rob was born.
